Katie & Sean Celebrate their Engagement at Excelsior Pier!

Katie and Sean meet online. After talking back and forth, they decided to finally meet in person. It was an impressive feat as Sean was not from the Twin cities! Katie was visiting family in his area and they took the opportunity to get together. Their first date was at a brewery. They both commented on how quickly the date seemed to go. Before they knew it hours and hours had passed. I love when your are just with the right person, time doesn’t seem to matter. Katie was pleased and taken aback on how respectful Sean was to her needs that first day when she had to take care of some family stuff. Things obviously went exceedingly well and it wasn’t too long before Sean made the move to Minneapolis to plan a future with Katie.
When it was decided to take the next step to marriage, Sean had it all planned out. They were going to go to Katie’s favorite spot by a willow tree and propose. Katie' didn’t know if he was going to propose, but Katie’s best friend made her go out and get their nails done “Just in Case”. I think we all need a friend like that in our lives. Sean really wanted to go on a walk before their dinner reservation. All afternoon Katie had been sending GIFS on how tired she was. After a little bit of loving encouragement on Sean’s part, Katie finally put on mismatched socks and her Birks for their walk and enjoyed the outdoor air. They walk was anything but leisurely stroll as Katie noted Sean was BOOKING IT. As they finally reached their spot, Sean proposed to Katie and she said yes! A family member were their in the bushes to capture to happy occasion! After dinner a second surprise happened, there was a planned engagement party with all their friends and family.

For our time together at the engagement session, we meet at the Port of Excelsior! It has been an unseasonably warm winter here in Minnesota, but the chill off the water still went straight to the bones. Katie and Sean had the best attitudes! It made our session so fun to just laugh and talk about their upcoming wedding! They really want their wedding day to be a reflection of their faith and glorify God in their action.

Savannah & Tim are MARRIED - Celebrated at Dellwood Country Club

Minnesota had a abnormally warm December so although we didn’t have the amount of snow we were hoping for it didn’t mean we did not enjoy our day to the fullest!

Savannah and Tim have been planning to make this day the best they could to not only honor their marriage but also honor their guests! We started getting ready for the day at Dellwood Country Club! Instead of a first look, Savannah and Tim wanted to save the first look for the alter and instead went with a first touch. They read their vows and exchanged gifts without seeing each other before the ceremony. Savannah started to read her vows but didn’t get very far before they decided to instead exchange and read each others vows. Lots of happy tears were shed.

Their ceremony took place at Church of Saint Peter. It was a beautiful moment with Savannah walking down the aisle and Tim getting to see her for the first time. They opted for a traditional catholic ceremony to proclaim their love in front of God, friends, and family.
After the I do’s, we enjoyed our time before the reception getting ALL the portraits to commemorate the day! Their reception details were AMAZING! It was a winter greenery dream wrapped up with black velvet bows. Complete with a champagne tower, the couple really wanted their reception to shine and be fun. With all the details planned to a “T”, I definitely think they accomplished that no problem!
We had fun with a quick sparkler tunnel, before continuing the party for the night. Savannah and Tim’s first dance was one they have been practicing for months. They elegantly danced across the floor before the rest of the guests joined in on the dance party! The couple had late night snacks of their favorite fair foods.

Please enjoy seeing their wedding day and congratulations to the newly married couple, Savannah & Tim!!

Stillwater Proposal with Matt & Paula!

Friday something happened Paula didn’t see coming!! But this whole thing started a couple months before that. Matt had originally planned to get the ring on his girl way back in October, but everyone got hit with covid so the plans got pushed off much to his Chagrin. With paula’s parents blessing and the ring made especially for her, Matt waited patiently until the right time to ask Paula!

With communication between Matt, Colleen (paula’s sister), and I we had it all planned out. Paula's and Matt and the gang headed to explore Downtown Stillwater with the dogs. I waited on the ground listening for our keyword until I popped up and started shooting. Colleen talking about Raiaing Canes (our “go time” keyphrase) and I was shooting.

Matt grabbed Paula’s hand and started expressing his love for her. Paula's face was a mix of confusion and excitement as it dawned on her what was happening. Matt holding their dog, got down on one knee and asked for Paula to marry him. It was greeted with a very enthusiastic “yes” from his soon to be bride!! She immediately asked her pup if he had known all along, which made me laugh pretty good. It was followed by Matt and family telling Paula that literally everyone else knew this was happening.

After hugs to all her family and showing everyone the ring, we did some photos right on the water by the Stillwater Lift Bridge and finished up at Candy Land Candystore. 🍬

Please enjoy Paula and Matt’s Stillwater Proposal and Engagement photographs!
