Ice Castles Proposal | Nick & Amber | Colorado Engagement Photographer

Nick Proposes to Amber at the Colorado Ice Castles!

Nick and Amber met during the pandemic and just hit it off. After dating and falling in love, they decided they wanted to get married.
One of their favorite vacation spots has been Colorado. So Nick decided he wanted to propose to his future bride at the Ice Castles! Normally these take place in Minnesota as well but due to covid they decided to not host them this year in MN.
Nick flew me out to surprise Amber! She was a little confused about why I was there at first, but she quickly pieced it together. Then Nick grabbed her hand and got down on one knee and formally asked her to be his wife.
She of course said yes! We enjoyed sitting around the fire and taking photos around the ice castles! We left with frozen toes and warm hearts!

Prestwick Golf Course Wedding Photography | Chase & Danae | Woodbury Wedding Photographer

A Minnesota celebration with Chase & Danae at Prestwick Golf Course!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Spring has sprung here in Minnesota and the trees are starting to be covered in green once more! This day was initially planned to take place last October, after this bride and groomโ€™s Mexico ceremony with Danaeโ€™s side of the family. Like many others, due to covid, everything had a little shake up. Their Minnesota Reception ended up coming first in the new plans of events!
Chaseโ€™s mom Anita planned this so all Chaseโ€™s family and friends could enjoy celebrating their marriage at Prestwick Golf Course in Woodbury, MN. Chase & Danae had a brief ceremony so both sets of parents could enjoy this time together. Everyone on the day of was just happy to be together celebrating these two. It made the day much more fun to be a part of when everyone is ready to party!
Danae looked dynamite in her wedding dress she chose for the MN Celebration. And Chase looked amazingly dapper in his three piece brown suit. They complimented each other well in spirit and joy for their day.
One of my favorite moments of the day came during the toasts. Chaseโ€™s dad was his best man; Jeffโ€™s speech was funny and well thought out. He said one line in English and the same line repeated in Spanish for Danaeโ€™s side of the family to be able to fully enjoy the speech. In the middle of his speech the whole room agreed - โ€œCovid Sucks.โ€
They finished the night greeting friends and family and partying it up on the dance floor.
Please enjoy some of their wedding photos from their Minnesota Celebration!

Christy & Micheal's Minnesota Winter Wedding at First Baptist Church

Christy and Micheal wedding day started off a foggy morning at 17 degrees. Knowing we were adventuring outside Christy had her car packed with snow boots, hardwarmes, and blankets. She came prepared! She got ready with her sisters and friends in one of First Baptists upstairs classrooms. Christy fit into her dress like a glove, looking like it had been made for her.

She did a first look with her father in the Johnson chapel. Her dad just soaked her in and told her how proud he was of her. It was one of my favorite moments of their day.

Micheal went ahead of us to their own first look at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Their spot for the first look is one of Christyโ€™s favorite spots in her area that she would explore from time to time. The time with them at Lebanon was so full of joy and excitement; it just made the day very special. By mid afternoon the fog had rolled away and God gave us some beautiful sun shining through the trees just in time for wedding party portraits.

We headed back to the church to get married!!

Christy decorated the church aisle with large lanterns with flowers to guide their way up the aisle. She walked up the aisle barefoot her arm linked with her fathers. They said traditional vows because it was always something Christy had loved growing up.

A kiss sealed the deal and now they are a new Mrs & Mr. ! One of my favorite highlights of the day was right after they walked back up the aisle, Micheal and Christy slipped into a side room to take a private moment to hug and just reflect on what just took place. It was so sweet to witness.
Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, Christy and Micheal had to put off a big reception for another date. They did have a intimate reception with their core family to finish our the night!

I hope you enjoy their photos from their winter wedding.

Canโ€™t get enough of Christy & Micheal?!?! I donโ€™t blame you! You can check out their engagement session in Washington HERE.
