Minnesota Arboretum Adventure | Arboretum Photography | Personal

One of my goals for this year is to go somewhere new or go somewhere just because I want to at least once a month.

I was sad that I lived in such a beautiful state and haven't taken the time to really explore and enjoy it which is so silly since i have lived here my whole life. So I am making that change.

Marcus decided to join me and we made our way to Minnesota Arboretum. When we got in we found parking right away but from there were a little lost. We circled around the entrance twice before hoping back into the car and driving the 3 mile drive because we really didn't know where else to go! We were pleasantly surprised that this was the trail we were supposed to go on in the first place! We stopped at all the spots that looked interesting. They had sculpture gardens, Hedge Maze, Flower Gardens. Our favorite was the Hedge Maze. We took time to go through and we both agreed that this course would be a blast at night with a version of Tag for adults.

All in all it was a fun time to get out of the house and go see something new! I have to say that I understand they put a lot of time and effort into this Arboretum and it really shows, buuuutttt for $15 per adult I don't think I will be back. I am a sucker for any place free so I will have to enjoy the Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens and Como Conservatory instead!

Redeemed Farms Wedding Photography | Courtney & Jordan | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

Courtney and Jordan wed at Redeemed Farms last Friday! They were just excited to see each other the morning of; their first look was on the front porch of the house on the farm. The venue was soooooo cute and had Victorian Couches throughout the property. A couple of my favorite details of the day, Courtney's something old, some thing blue were two rings one was her grandmother's wedding band and the other a ring from her mom. The bride had them strung along her gorgeous vibrant bouquet.
Courtney really wanted to have the colors of the day pop; as you can see she definitely succeeded! Although Jordan confided that it was a little weird having all eyes on them all day, they just had to remind themselves oh right it is my wedding day! During toasts the best man let everyone know there was something weird going on with the microphone. He said he it was making everyone so emotional. When Courtney's dad got up to speak, before he said a word, him and Courtney were crying . Even though she yelled " Don't you start!" It didn't help with Papa Kleckner sharing his love for his daughter. It was one of my favorite moments in the day for sure.

Courtney and Jordan had a beautiful day and finished as husband and wife! I loved serving them.  This couple ended the night partying with their friends and family!

Feeling Inspired?!?

Harriet Island Park Engagement Photography | Jenna & Jason | Minneapolis Engagement Photographer

Jenna and Jason talked about how they never make it to the cities! So when we were hunting for a location I couldn't help but through in my favorite St. Paul in the mix. Jenna is a math teacher by trade so she made sure to emphasis that she looovvveed shapes. Well that just assured me we were cut from the same cloth because Harriet Island Park has had some shapes on my mind for a long while!  I think we got some good ones while we explored.

Jenna and Jason met on Christian Mingle. Although they  remember differently on the topic of what Jason was wearing in his profile picture, Jenna remembers how sharp he looked in his profile! After talking a bit back and forth Jason was taken with Jenna's words and they decided to meet. Jason is originally from Nebraska so meeting was definitely not as easy as it is for others. They chose a midway point and went on a date and just clicked.  It went very well and after several trips back and forth they decided to choose each other and get married.
On a nice day out Jason took Jenna to Minihaha Falls Park to enjoy the beautiful May weather; he packed a picnic for them both. As they were sitting there enjoying each others company, he popped the question and she said yes! They celebrated with smiles and mimosas.

Please enjoy a small preview of their engagement session!
