10) I come from a large family of 7 including my parents; even though we are all loud and a little bit crazy, I can't imagine my life without them.
9) I met my husband while we both worked at our college's Museum and Gallery. I remember it perfectly because he was supposed to take over my shift but ended up horribly lost through the rooms.
8) Marcus and I both love watching a variety of movies. We have a growing DVD collection in our house, which will most likely be obsolete in 5 years.
7) One of my favorite places in the Twin Cities is Como Conservatory. My family would visit it every year and little did I know growing up, it was also the place I would marry my best friend.
6) My lucky numbers are 10 & 13.
5) I played many sports throughout high school and college, including volleyball, basketball, softball, track, and soccer. But by far my favorite is volleyball, which I still make time to play occasionally.
4) One of my crowning accomplishments is having graduated from college; never being book smart made college one of the most trying periods of my life. It was only through God's grace that it happened.
3) I will almost always choose to sit in the sun.
2) I love baking cakes. Not only does it help me relax, but it also fuels my cupcake addiction. My favorite cupcakes I have baked recently have been Almond Cherry Cupcakes. Game changers.
1) My latest personal project has been starting a small garden in my tiny backyard. Last year, I began with a row of raspberry bushes with much success. This year I am experimenting with cucumbers, which I hope to build up to eventually grown asparagus.
My Work Space | Where I Edit Your Photos
So another photographer I follow has been really killing it with "getting to know your photographer" section on her blog. It has been so much fun learning more about her as a person. Well, she inspired me to do my best at showing a little behind the camera action on my end!
Starting off, I wanted to share where the magic happens. ;)
My desk has be something that I have been blessed to be able to put together! My hubby surprised me for Christmas with a desk and a chair and a computer; it really made me feel completely spoiled. This is the first time I have ever had a corner just for my Photography! It makes me want to jump for joy every time I think about it and I know my cats are very appreciative of a new comfy spot to lay in the sun. I had been looking at pinterest for inspiration, which was great but I love how I made it really my own!
I would love to see where you work too leave a link in the comments if you are willing to share!
MW Photography | Choosing My Name
As the trend seems to be among photographers in my industry , I choose to use the initials to my name to represent me in my photography business. M is for my first name which is Molly. W is for my maiden name, Waits. When I got married one of the hardest things for me to let go was my last name. It's hard for me to explain fully, but in short, Waits was the name I had built so much on- success, relationships, personality. I changed my name for my husband, because it was a symbol of starting a new life as one united. It was a gift to him. I will always be a Waits girl and I feel I can pay a small tribute by it being my business name.
