Sarah & mitchell marry at Mill City Museum in minneapolis!

Sarah and Mitchell’s wedding was filled with meaning from start to finish in the heart of Minneapolis. While not every detail went exactly as planned, the moments that mattered most unfolded beautifully. They were given a warm September day that made their portraits and outdoor vows even more special.

The morning began with a first look at Gold Medal Park. We had lots of fun making our way walking towards their ceremony spot! Sarah wore a gown covered in pearls with a dramatic train. She looked breathtaking, and her happiness drew everyone in.

Their wedding took place at Mill City Museum, one of the most iconic landmarks in Minneapolis. In the courtyard they exchanged vows that had everyone smiling, and the emotion of the moment carried through the rest of the day.

The reception carried a cozy and romantic feel. Guests gathered under fairy lights for dinner, surrounded by touches of sage green, black, and gold. The celebration closed with an energetic dance floor. Sarah and Mitchell had been looking forward to that moment, and it was the perfect ending to their day.

Mattie & Kyle Marry at Minnepolis’s Basilica & Party at Metropolitan Ballroom wedding reception!

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Mattie and Kyle's stunning wedding at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. This iconic cathedral is not only breathtaking in its architecture, but it also provided the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. With its towering spires, ornate details, and sacred history, it was the ideal location for Mattie and Kyle's elegant ceremony.

Mattie looked absolutely radiant in her mother’s vintage silk gown, a timeless piece that added a sentimental touch to the day. It was such a beautiful way to honor her family’s legacy, and seeing her walk down the aisle in that dress was a truly unforgettable moment.

It was so much fun watching them sneak little glances and snuggle throughout the day, clearly overjoyed to finally be getting married.

After the ceremony, we did photos and Mattie and Kyle were surprised with a horse drawn carriage ride from the Basilica for a little private time together to connect!

After the ceremony, we transitioned to the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley for the reception, where the celebration continued in style. The ballroom’s charm made for a chic and sophisticated backdrop, and the energy of the room was electric. Mattie made a quick outfit change, swapping her traditional gown for a fun ribbon dance dress, perfect for hitting the dance floor! The guests loved this playful touch.

From the heartfelt speeches to the lively dancing, every moment of the reception was filled joy. Mattie and Kyle’s family and friends came together to create an atmosphere that felt warm, inviting, and unforgettable.

As a photographer, it’s always a joy to document such special memories, and Mattie and Kyle’s wedding was no exception. Their day was filled with genuine calm joy that made the entire experience amazing. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of their journey, and I can't wait to see where life takes them next!
