Kate & Chris Married at Rush Creek Golf Course!
I arrived to Rush Creek Golf Club to a bright and sunny morning! The ladies got ready in the onsite getting ready room. The tunes were playing and everyone was trying to hold in their excitement for the day to get started. Mama Waits showed off two dress options asked Kate to pick out her favorite. The wedding party partied pretty hard the night before so they were making sure to take it a little easy in the morning.
Kate & Chris exchanged letters before their first look which set the day off the right away. Their letters expressed their love and excitement for marriage.
We did their first look in the shade of one of the front trees of the Rush Creek Golf Club. As they were checking each other out Chris was very confused about the thistle in Kate’s Bouquet. He asked about it several times! It made me chuckle a little bit. Kate looked like a walking daydream in her beaded wedding gown that sparkled in the sun. Chris also looked very handsome in a light blue suit, but didn’t sparkle as much as his bride.
Chris and Kate had their wedding ceremony in the back courtyard surrounded by friends and family. They stood under an wooden arch and said their vows. The vows were sweet and from the heart. It had me tearing up in the back. To show their unity Kate & Chris knotted together three chords as a symbol of what the bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:12. It says “And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
During the reception, we ate and toasted to this bride and grooms well being and a happy lifelong marriage. The couple decided to have the wedding party do some fun and games starting out with the bridesmaids. Their game was played by finding things in the crowd as chairs were taken away. The guys games was a blind folded dance off. Once the DJ started playing the music, all the groomsmen whipped off their blind fold and got off the dance floor with the exception of one groomsmen who danced solo. Once it was done, his reaction was hilarious and he was compensated for his awesome moves with a Cabela’s gift card. Bride and groom did the shoe game, where they ask a question and raise either the bride or groom’s shoe in the air to answer.
The group finished up the night was some fun dances which the DJ rocked. (Seriously the Dj did such a great job all day).
As for the bride and groom, we snuck out at the end of the night for some golden hour portraits at the back of Rush Creek. The sunset was killer. With the day was winding down, our couple could finally relax a little more. They shared a couple of twirls and their favorite parts of the wedding day. Chris’s favorite part was the vows (and the dinner steak I know he was thinking about).
Special Moments through the day - Kate’s something blue was a flower in her hair made from the same fabric as her grandmother’s wedding dress, during family formals dad getting teary eyed looking down at his little girl getting married, and a sunset of my dreams with an amazing couple.
I am thankful I was able to celebrate with Kate & Chris all day. Please enjoy rush creek wedding photography photos form their amazing wedding day.
